Tge And Tse

This is an open question that I am hoping will either convince me to buy TSE or not...
I have lots of experience in the 3D artist arena.. models.. animation.. rigging.. etc..
However, I don't really know much about shading besides a very little tinkering I have done with CG. So hopefully some of you more experienced shader people can help me out.
Why TSE? Any arguments for or against this product? Why should I buy it?
Thank you for any responses!

As far as artist's features are concerned and shader dev, you may wait till MS3, as GG seems to intend on solidifying the materials pipeline and things may change significantly from now till then. There are also other known issues with the rendering pipeline that will be addressed. I have owned an EA license of TSE since the beginning and it is always exciting downloading the latest head to check on the features added: it is good to get a head start on the tech as it is maturing.
If you've done some coding before, HLSL is a pretty easy language to pick up (initially...of course lots of little details about the different shader cards takes time to learn). I highly recommend spending a couple days playing around with rendermonkey or fxcomposer.
A note: Buying TSE now will throw a bit more $ in the pot to get the features dev'd quicker. My philosophy is that it is not only a single purchase, but an investment in GG. I've purchased several items from thier store that i may have spent 10 mins with, but I am sure that money has been put to good use. If not dev'ing the engine, Eugene has good beer and money spent there is not wasted either ;)
