Looking for an ARTIST and a T2D PROGRAMMER for Puzzle Gaiden

Hi, my name is Bryan Edds. You may know me from my OOP in Torque Script resource here.

I am developing the game Puzzle Gaiden which is featured in its own .plan here.

(The linked .plan was written a while back, so the game has progressed quite a bit from then too. Look for a new .plan coming soon)

To summarize this extremely unique single player puzzle RPG game, it is -
a dash of Chrono Trigger, a helpin' of Tetris, a heapin' of Bust-A-Move, and features living marbles for its game characters.
Unlike other RPGs which require a massive amount of assets to produce, this game uses marbles for its characters. It gets away with doing this by masquerading itself as a puzzle-game (which it only half is). I took this design approach to accomplish 3 things -

1) make a game with all the gameplay of a console RPG game (and more)

2) make a game which also only requires a miniscule amount of the assets and engineering complexity compared to most other games (making it possible for an indie with limited time and resources).

3) maintain modern appeal for people looking for new puzzle and/or RPG games who don't care about million dollar graphics.

I hope to capture both puzzle game and old-school console RPG audiences with this extremely synergistic genre blending game.

Timeframe for Completion - October 2005.

Progress - The main game engine is about halfway complete, and I could use a programmer to complete three parts of the game -

1) the mouse-driven, hot-spot-driven world map

2) special effects

3) NPC interaction code (very simple, basic console RPG stuff)

The programmer must understand object-oriented programming beyond a beginner level, have a T2D license, and have the time necessary to work on the project (an hour or two a day should be more than enough).

I also would like an artist to implement all the art in the game. Because the game is very simple, the burden on the artist is extremely low compared to most other game projects. The graphical style I'm looking for is like any modern 2D Zelda game or perhaps like Super Mario World. Nothing complicated; just cartoony, simple, and imaginative.

Compensation - Compensation includes a portion of all revenue generated by the sales of the game. There is no money up front or wages until profits are made since this project is funded purely by love and desire to break into the industry. But if I had money to pay, I would do so in a heart-beat!

I hope you are interested in helping to complete this quick, fun little puzzle RPG game. If it is received as well as I believe it will be, it will generate enough revenue to fund yet another Puzzle Gaiden game - perhaps in 3D, or 2D with human characters... as well as steady wages for all its developers.

Hope to hear from you soon!
