Login time too short for private forums?

I log in, read some posts, write a reply, press submit, and get told I don't have access to the private forums anymore.
I try to go "back" to at least salvage what I just spent 20 minutes writing and I can't get back to the original page either since it's private. I log in again and have to write the reply all over again from memory hoping I can get it done in time before my current login in times out...
Was the login time shortened recently? If so, could it be longer so we don't have to save a copy of our posts because we might loose what we just wrote if we press submit?

@Sangwoo: Might be a problem with your browser's cookies, my session never times out here, I haven't logged in for months.

Yes, it sounds like something deleted your cookies--I personally haven't signed in on this computer in 5 months, and haven't signed in on my development system since April of 2004--it's all in the cookies.

(Hmm... Maybe I should just suck it up and take it. Sweeping cookies on a regular basis actually sounds like a good idea. :p)

I'm using firefox. Could there be some internet security thing in the background sweeping my cookies clean? How would I go about stopping this?(Hmm... Maybe I should just suck it up and take it. Sweeping cookies on a regular basis actually sounds like a good idea. :p)

You can use notepad to type up your posts then just copy and paste it over :)

Lol, was wondering if you'd respond with that. Then you should be able to open up vi or some text editor? A lot of people will type up posts in there, then copy and paste when they post.
