Torque doesn't support transparency on terrain. Out of interest why are you doing that?

Terrain texturing is not brilliant in TGE. You would be better served trying to use dif where possible and setting your squareSize = "2". This has never worked for me but others have reported sucess. You have to edit the *.mis file in a text editor and change that value. This will give you much higher detail when painting the terrain.

The terrain only support 1 layer of textures, and simple blending between them for borders. There's no second layer, so there's no transparency.

You could use the dynamic lights or the RTS selection rendering code as a lead and implement your own road sign rendering objects...

Is there a resource which is improving the 8 texture set to 12.
