Bump mapping model

by Zachariah Inks · in Game Design and Creative Issues · 05/21/2005 (12:45 pm) · 8 replies

Ok so here is the deal... so im learning C++ right now and i would like to eventually play with the torque shader engine but as of now time and ability limit that... so i was wondering if anyone that maybe messing with the shader engine would want to play with some bump mapping... the current model is UVed and im working on the highres in zbrush now... i just want to test the waters and see what can be done this is not for any kind of project other than to show off the model and research how it all looks inside torque... anyone interested may email me at zachariahinks@yahoo.com

Ive been working with zbrush->tse for a while now. Very easy once you get your pipeline down (at least for static meshes for now). Here are some examples.

yeah i think tse will work out well i just wish i had more time and energy to devote to working with all this... however im trying to get the dts exporter down and now that i have it working it crashes on me whenever i go to export... im using maya 6 and im on a mac so dont know if that may have something to do with it... read a thread that stated it could be because of the exporter adding a / in the setting but i took it out and still crash... ill play with it later when i have more time.. thanks for the input everyone
