Hi,
I've recently bought T2D and I think your tutorials are fantastic, a real help for the newbies ... the only thing is that I don't have an internet connection at home, so was wondering (and I apologise if this is already up as a resource but I can't find it!) if it would be possible to stick all your tutorials and the unofficial FAQ in a zip, downloadable resource ... so I can take them home and work through them at my own pace instead of trying to remember what I've learnt reading through them on my dinner hour LOL !
Any help with this would be so greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mic Pringle

That's not a bad idea ... but just thought that this would probably come in very useful for all newbies, rather than just me if it was uploaded as a resource.Mic Pringle

In fact the first couple I converted to html files so I could package them seperately (like the unofficial F.A.Q. and the Physics Demo), It probably wouldn't take me too long to convert the rest to html files so they can be packaged together.
Charlie has a good idea though

Charlies idea is good, but I think this really would help all newbies since the T2D docs are a bit sparce at the moment.

Thanks Matthew, just grabbed the pack. I had been thinking the same thing as Mic, but hadn't wanted to ask for extras after all the work you'd already put in. Much appreciated...Terry

@Terry: feel free to tell me any suggestions, I don't get offended and/or ruffled easily.
@Mic: Thx, I'm truly glad they help, if they help a few T2D users realize the power of T2D and feel more comfortable then I've succeeded in my goal.
@Charlie: rofl, true true... you ought to see an older picture, when I had a ghoatee 3 times as long and hair past my shoulder =0

You remind me of a computer whiz that worked for me as a work study student in the 80's that seemed to have a Cray for a brain and could type 73,000 words a minute. He couldn't get enough time on the real robot (robotics was his major) to test his code, so he sat down one afternoon and wrote a full robot simulator in C on a 286 machine that he could test his code on anytime. Showed him Lotus one day and the next afternoon he was writing macros for our finance department. Just blew me away. 20 years later I'm sitting here struggling trying to make the crossover from business apps to game dev. You and your tuts along with the offerings from all the other knowledgable people on GG have helped make that transition easier and more fun. Always hate to bother people here with problems I can eventually figure out on my own (or by searching), but in the future, if I have questions or need clarification about something in a tut I'll be sure and ask. Thanks. Well that was long winded, wasn't it......Keep up the good work, I know many more people are benefiting from it than are actually posting.

Matt@ Don't really have much for suggestions. I used to teach CS and Database Management at a university back in the 80's and 90's, and seemed to be well liked because I was good at explaining things in a way that people could actually understand them. The old line "The Devil is in the details" is absolutely true. No one likes it when someone tells them to do something without explaining how, or to use something without explaining why. In detail. You sir, are not afraid of detail and thorough explanation. Refreshing. I don't want to just know what to use and where, but why and how it works. You remind me of a computer whiz that worked for me as a work study student in the 80's that seemed to have a Cray for a brain and could type 73,000 words a minute.
