Getting TIDE to work with jEdit?

by Samuel Lopez De Victoria · in Torque Game Engine · 05/11/2005 (6:01 pm) · 6 replies

I have been going back and forth between the TIDE main website and the jEdit website trying to figure out how to get TIDE to work in jEdit. I don't know what files to use for the plugin... in fact I don't even know what to do to get it started! ... it's kinda driving me nuts.

also note that i don't have internet connection on my computer that is running TIDE/jEdit, in case that might be the problem that's pissing me off...

i've also read what to do on some of the older forums, but what is mentioned dosn't seem to help at all.

Yes you need a net connection to download a plugin for it.

Quote:
Install the newest version of JEdit.
Grab the Tide.jar file and put it in the jars folder in the JEdit dir.
Start up JEdit, get the error. Go to plugins->plugin manager.
Click the install tab. Click on name to sort the list, go down to "project manager"
install that. Restart JEdit.

Did you grab JEDIT from the jedit website or off the tide website?

Grab it from the JEDIT website.

Then download the Tide.jar file from sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=97831

and finish up with the directions in the quotes, you will need a net connection tho.
