Unread posts contains read posts

Nice job on the site changes.

"Read Unread Posts" contains a lot of threads which i've read.

i marked all as read,
then read a thread,
but it's still in unread posts.

it's as if it's showing me
all threads with posts (read or unread)
since my last Mark All As Read.

I think thats how it has always been. I'm not sure if its by design or not though.

Thats how it works, it shows all since you're last Mark all as Read. I guess it would be nice to have threads you then read be automatically marked off this list, but I've gotten used to this system over the years so its not a problem to me.

Erg.

I found the "recent posts" sidebar
much more convenient for following the handful of active threads in a day.

With this "unread posts", the threads which actually have new posts
are mingled in with the ones which don't,
and you have to do a lot of scrolling and reading,
versus just looking at the top handful.

A page which showed the twenty or thirty most recently changed threads would be awesome.

- Or if the unread posts page could be sorted by "Last Post" instead of forum.

now that would be awesome
and possibly satisfy many people.

I only get '(0) Mark all as read' even though I know there are new posts

I also get a straight dump of the forums when I click on 'Read Unread Posts'and sometimes cannot post as the site reports I do not have access (crosses fingers that this one will post)

Ok. If I post a code block I get

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /mg/forums/result.thread.php on this server.

so I assume there is some parsing/permissions problem

Testing bold www.garagegames.com

Also the 'laern how link for the tags doesn't go anywhere and I can't always repost edited threads. The html is badly formed or the page request is pushing before the markup has been completed
