Remembering page position on return

I've noticed this on the site before the update also - let's say there is a really long thread and I am about half way down reading a post that has a link which I end up clicking...after I go back in my browser, it doesn't take me (scroll) to the place where I was but to the top of the page, which could be quite far away from where I want to be in a really long thread. Interestingly, my IPaq PDA's browser does happen to remember and it will take me back to where I was...So, is there a setting I am missing or is it something that could be improved on GG's side? Thanks!

Unofrtunately this is a bug in the browser not the website. Actually its an interaction between the two but its mainly the browsers fault. Most every browser based off Mozilla will exhibit the problem i'm afraid. It has to do with going back to a page that has the no-cache header.
