Istallation on WinXP

Greetings,

I have installed and uninstalled Python and Blender a couple dozen times. I have tried Python 2.3 to 2.4.1 and Blender 2.34 to 2.36 to no avail. I have read the installation instructions (which is why I have tried older versions).

I have even set the path in My Computer. I actually get it to export a dts file, but I can't get the configuration screen to come up. I get erros like:

DTSPython\Dts_Shape.py:271: FutureWarning: x<<y losing bits or changing sign will return a long in Python 2.4 and up
  StateOn = 1 << 31
Dumping output to file 'C:\Program Files\Blender\.blender\scripts\example.log'

and example.log is empty.

So far I can tell that Python has to be 2.3.X.

I am using exporter 0.87.

Any ideas?
