TreemagikPLUS has been released as freeware, but you can only save as .B3D and .x
Anyone know if theres a way to make it export for use in TGE?

Not sure what you mean by "second" .x file. I'm talking about the .x file exported from TreeMagik.

Guess it would just be better for me to buy a full copy.

And the trees look much better.

You can also make trees and sell them in content packs (if you get the royalty-free license)

I don't know if it has a .dts exporter (there was talk of one being made I think) but the latest version has suport for more 3D apps. Quote:# Export to X, OBJ, LWO, SMD, ASC(3dmax), TXT(milkshape),DBO(dbro), B3D, RAW, WRL, TM2

I exported the Autumn_dance tree from Treemagik. If I am reading the .x file correctly then it has 16 vertices per chunk. It uses 4 vertices per side of the leaf and there are two leaves which makes the 16. It uses 8 triangles, 2 triangles per side of the leaf.
I gather you:
- imported the .x file.
- went to materials and moved each transparency slider (the right one) a little to the left for each one you wanted transparency.
- exported to Torque.
At this time you only were able to see one side of the leaf in Torque
Is that correct?

Yes, mostly, The leafs appear a differnet shade in spots and transparent in spots. I think I found my problem, It is in the Exotic expansion pack, the "chunk" shapes don't match the descriptions and the .x output seems to double the verts. When I tried the regular trees, all was fine.

None of the download links work...?!? What's the secret to getting the program?

Is an account needed from AlienCode, first before any download? The Forum wants one...

Nada, that's the one I'm using, I read the agreement, nowhere to accept with radio box, and I return to the download page, where the full install link and all others come up 404, and a "Save Target as..." produces Error from the OS.Is an account needed from AlienCode, first before any download? I'm trying to look/find TreemagikPlus......

I added them as fxshapereplicator objects * 5000 and never saw a drop in FPS. They are optimized for Torque and contain nearly every tree I've ever seen before, and then some. I wish I could link to where I found 'em but I forgot since it's been about 4 months since I downloaded them. Maybe someone could post a link?

I dunno about you guys, but I kinda like just using the Sharp Tree Pack, by another developer here (free for non-commercial use, small fee for a commercial game).I added them as fxshapereplicator objects * 5000 and never saw a drop in FPS. Dreamer, IMO the only problem then is many games will start to look the same... at least with the latest with treemagik you can change them as you want them.

Russell Snyder, good to know.

Rex, that was the location where I was able to download from a few days ago without signing up for anything. I guess you can either wait or contact them. Oh, I just noticed someone in their forums mentioned they can not download it.Russell Snyder, good to know.
