Newsletter 03/05: Gish using TGE?

by Markus Nuebel · in General Discussion · 03/28/2005 (11:19 pm) · 2 replies

The report on Gish and RocketBall states, that both titels are using the Torque Game Engine.
Is this really so?

To me it looks, as if Gish is not using TGE and instead directly works with SDL.
The file structure looks completely different to TGE titles, since there is not a single torque script. Neither source .cs nor compiled. dso's.

Have they completely worked around the classical TGE structures.

That's not correct, I think the layout got moved around a bit. He meant Lore and RocketBowl, both of which were in the competition, Gish (which we also publish) won, so the e-mail was about all three of them, the Torque thing only applied to Lore and RocketBowl.

Ah, of course Lore and RocketBowl.

That makes perfect sense.

Thanks Pat.
