3ds to Dif - is it possible?

Is it possible to convert 3ds file to dif interrrior? maybe something like that 3ds->map->dif but how?

I am no programmer but I have been looking into these things for a while.

You can't convert them because Diff's require specific mesh requirements. 3DS files have a lot of stuff not allowed in Diff's. Now if you created an object in max and created a script that cleans up that extra stuff yea you can. It would however be best to have an exporter created. Most do not realize it but you can create a script to handle exports as long as you understand the file format specs. I am no programmer but I have been looking into these things for a while.

I compiled max2map exporter that included in TGE SDK Tools, but seem to me it 3Dstudio exporter I mean it is not separate max2map.exe file :(map2maxExporter.dle - Is already compiled.

Game Level Builder (or is it just Game Builder) works well if you use its .map exporter to then drop in the new map2dif... I've tested it some, works like a charm

Is that GLB3 you speak of or 2.2 I have 3 but have yet to use it.

Think I ran it on version 2.2 (since I don't own 3), though I would "assume" it would work on version 3... i just tried making some quick rooms, hallways, and doors... then threw it in Quark to cut out the doors ( could've probably done it it max from what I know now) and texture it then popped it into Torque just fine
