T2D updates coming soon

Hi everyone,
Melv and I wanted to let you know about the update plans we have for the next few weeks. We will be releasing two updates in the next few weeks. Here is the rough layout for them. Lots of info to cover so please read carefully. :)
SDK update - T2D SDK 1.01
Coming: next week (I hope.. please don't freak out if we have to slip somehow; if we do, it will be to ensure more stability / kill more bugs in the release, so it'd be a good thing!)
Changes: (this is a pretty small update)
-Fixes most bugs reported from the initial release, and more that were unreported.
-Several documentation updates
-Introduces new demo and hopefully a corresponding tutorial
(continued next post...)

Josh, that's cool about the sub sections. It's getting a little hairy :)

Satalite internet is not all that great. It's fast on the download but fairly poor on the upload. A few years ago I checked into it and you still had to have dial-up then. I'm sure it's changed since then though. It was hourly also!Josh, that's cool about the sub sections. It's getting a little hairy :)

That way, we could read it in advance and be ready when the update is released.

Hey, could you post a link to the new doc before you go?That way, we could read it in advance and be ready when the update is released.

Then again, I hope I am totaly wrong. If not, then I'm actually going to have to work tonight instead of reading up. Which is very counter productive to my slackingness

That would be nice, but you know it's not gonna happen. Those things need to be controled just as much as the source. And if he could probably get one up he would probably put up both. Then again, I hope I am totaly wrong. If not, then I'm actually going to have to work tonight instead of reading up. PS: Thanks for splitting up for the forums!!! Thats going to help *tremendously*!

Have a great time on the cruise, Josh! One of the amazing things about T2d is that, even with the FIRST VERSION of the EA release, there arent any show stopping bugs. Everyone is getting along just fine, developing, creating, and having a good time doing it. PS: Thanks for splitting up for the forums!!! Thats going to help *tremendously*!

Thanks guys. And yep, splitification is complete. Well, not complete. When I get back, if you guys have any suggestions for better / smarter ways to split up this sucker, just let me know and maybe we'll update it. :)

I wouldn't mind seeing a notices forum. Something only you guys can post on that would let us know about important information or link back to other threads that you guys might feel important for us to know.

I can live without it, but it is a nice idea.

Ah, good idea. I see a lot of forums with an announcements forum that only allow moderators to post new threads to. It would work like a private news page only for T2D license holders. Dedicated to inside information on what's coming up, and what's released.I can live without it, but it is a nice idea.

Im having trouble keeping track of all my animations. Will this editor help me create them? Im asking this because i have an idea for a new tool.

Just a note before I forget @Josh, can you please add a subforum for T2d networking? If / when it comes out. (I am sure you already thought of that just wanted to jot it down on this post).

Yeah, It would be nice to have a singleplayer and multiplayer folders. I think for learning, the multiplayer aspect mucks things up a little and makes it more confusing

I think a Mac and Linux forum would be good to, for problems / issues porting and dealing with OS Specific stuff

A general forums for people who own any Torque gaming platform.
It's a bit much but it would be nice to have a forum where everyone who owns a licience to any dev product can ask non platform specific Torque questions without the free public to deal with.

So.... is the T2D update almost ready? :)

There have also been a number of bugs reported and fixed over the last few days so the week or so delay will mean more fixes get it. :)

I dream of the day when I can go wireless, but at this point in time it costs too much for those things. I rent laptops occosionally though.
