T2D updates coming soon

Hi everyone,

Melv and I wanted to let you know about the update plans we have for the next few weeks. We will be releasing two updates in the next few weeks. Here is the rough layout for them. Lots of info to cover so please read carefully. :)

SDK update - T2D SDK 1.01
Coming: next week (I hope.. please don't freak out if we have to slip somehow; if we do, it will be to ensure more stability / kill more bugs in the release, so it'd be a good thing!)

Changes: (this is a pretty small update)
-Fixes most bugs reported from the initial release, and more that were unreported.
-Several documentation updates
-Introduces new demo and hopefully a corresponding tutorial

(continued next post...)

Is there still a 1.03 update in the plan, or has that been scrapped?

I would recommend you guys lock this one and start a Part 2 or something.

I am in one of those Admin type of moods today sorry. Cleaning house at home...

If someone does start a Part 2, please mention it here. I don't check the forums very often (too busy off in normal application programming to check) so the email notifications are the only times I read the forums! ;)

Did you guys see Justin's new .plan? And Matt L's? So everyone knows, we brought Justin and Matt on to the core T2D team, and they have been kicking butt lately. Melv has a lot of updates too (check out his recent .plan if you missed it, and there's much more done already than what was discussed there).

I shouldn't have even hinted at dates for 1.1 originally, that was my bad. We've made it even better than originally planned at this point, and it's taking longer to polish 'er up. But, it is getting close, we are all really excited.

Re: 1.0.3.. I backburned it for now, as 1.1 is getting pretty darn close. If there's an urgent need for the rather minor updates in 1.0.3 though, we could quietly push it out in early July. I really don't think there is, and I'd much prefer to wait on 1.1, myself.

As for this thread, yes, it's unweildy. When we are finalizing 1.1, we'll make a new one. :)
