So, i try it in this Forum again (sorry for the double post)

Hi i'm just startet to plan a game with the torque engine and have a few questions.

1. can i declar my own grid in the engine ??
Form example T2 uses for 1 m => 32 units in Worldcraft.
Is it possible to declar 1m => 50 units ??

2. what are the maximum polys for the
Players (bots)
vehicles
weapons

3. what is the maximum space for a map
weight,
length,
high

thx for any answer and i have to apologize for my bad english

1. The engine uses 1 unit = 1 meter. The conversion from worldcraft is totally seperate. I think there is a WC property somwhere which allows you to change it. It might have to be a power of two though.

2. Maxmim counts for shapes is up to you, depends on the complexity of your scense and how you want to divy up your poly budget (which is going to vary according to the graphics card your targetting). If you envision tones of shapes, you probably want to keep the values low, if your only going to see one player at a time, error on the high side :) I think in T2 players were about 1700, weapons maybe 500, not sure on the vehicles, possibly 7-8 hundred for the more complex ones? maybe more.

3. The terrain engine wraps at 2 km by 2km (assuming an 8m terrain grid), otherwise your only limited by floating point precision...
