What is the current version?

Sorry for a newbie question here, but the documentation page indicates version 1.2.x in the upper corner, but 1.1 in the main frame. As I peruse the forums, I am finding occasional references to 1.1 and 1.2, but I am unclear as to whether 1.2 is current. I am guessing that since 1.1 is an interim build towards a 1.2 push, the site indicates 1.2 as the current "public" release, with 1.1 being the current state. Is there a page that I am missing that indicates current project status?

Also, just how unstable is the Head code? I see quite a few people referring to it, although the initial install docs refer to it in a rather taboo-like fashion.

BTW BIG thanks to the GG team and T2 for this opportunity- I just downloaded the engine and am having fun already!

Thanks,

John

The current version is 1.1.0, though I believe we're going to tag 1.1.1 pretty soon (I'll tag another Dev_Stable first). The stability of the head varies, it's been pretty stable recently, but it depends on what's just been checked in, how many people have tested it, etc. I (obviously) always work off the head revision and rarely have problems, but I'm a little more familiar with the code :)
