Worldcraft help please

Posting here so I can get help from people who are members...
My team has elected to use worldcraft for the creation of our interiors... to start off I made a map:
big_empty_box0.map
and it was just that... the first problem we ran into was the "orphaned polygon" error, but we found out that was because there was no portal into the interior... now we've cut a door-shaped hole in the wall and our error is...
"unable to write detail level to stream"
anyone know what's up with this?
thanks

@George
" Worldcraft is no longer free for Torque users, just Tribes Mods" can you post a link to the source of that? haven't heard that yet.

To quote Alex Swanson Employee on Feb 18 2005 from this thread
Basically the EULA doesn't allow for hammer (worldcraft) to be used for Comercial Games. An e-mail from a company may not hold up in court if it comes down to it. What Value needs to do is change the EULA, which they haven't.
As far as your error, sorry I can't help you with that. I use Quark because of the EULA on Worldcraft.
I am not a lawyer so my statements above are not legally binding statements.

The current Hammer license does not allow it to be used for commercial products. The license is the only legally binding terms Valve has given for the use of Hammer. Because GarageGames does not recommend the use of this tool to Torque developers, we do not provide support forums for it.

"Worldcraft(later renamed Hammer) was written for creating Half-Life maps.
Free to be used only for creating Half-Life levels or for use by developers using the Torque Engine."
Although, there are a ton of errors in this book to begin with and from what you guys are saying it seems that isn't true.

This is from the Finney book "3d game programming all in one"."Worldcraft(later renamed Hammer) was written for creating Half-Life maps.

The questions come in if you plan on selling your game. So Finney's book is right that you "can" use it. You just can sell a game that contains items created with it. Make sense?
The use of Hammer is a huge controversy that comes around the boards every couple of months with the standard "I have an e-mail so its ok" sort of statements. Being there is a this controversy over the legality of using hammer on the boards I feel it is at best a "risk to use". Being make a game is a huge investment of time, money talent and the like I don't feel that adding a licensing risk to that as something I am willing to accept. So once again I use Quark. At least until GG comes out with something better. :-)
