Sequence Export Error: "Cannot Save File"

Does anyone have an idea of any reason why Maya or the Maya DTS Exporter would report "Cannot Save File" when attempting to export and animation sequence?
I have done my best to follow all instruction and information provided in the documentation. I attempted to compared and adjust my scene according to example scenes that I've come across. Unfortunately, because my model and rigging seems to be relatively more complex than my examples, and I fear that I've used something or done something in my scene that is causing this error.
I have limited bandwidth, but here is the scene in question:
www.rpi.edu/~hashc/ratBob.ma
This is a Maya 6 file, but I provided the ascii version so that the version information could be edited in notepad if necessary.
I am currently in a game development class and I know I'm not the only one having this problem. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be in the position to help many more people with this.
I'd greatly appreciate any insight.

It this case the Maya Error log reports and inability to create a dump file and in Maya the command feedback reports "Cannot Save File."
In this case I found that closing Maya allows the dump to be deleted and upon re-opening maya, exporting will be successful.

I've spent a lot of time dealing with this and one of the causes is an inacessible or "corrupted" dumpfile. It never actually reports being corrupted, but although it should contain data it reports 0 KB file size and cannot be opened or deleted. It this case the Maya Error log reports and inability to create a dump file and in Maya the command feedback reports "Cannot Save File."
In this case I found that closing Maya allows the dump to be deleted and upon re-opening maya, exporting will be successful.

The script editor has the following errors :
Bip01 is in the never export list of the cfg file (I am using the Blue Guy cfg file that came with the exporter.)
