I just played Lore for the first time and...

I am really impressed. It seems to have much faster paced action than one of the Mechwarrior games. It is more of a shooter in a way because you get right back into the battle a lot faster than a traditional mech game. Good job guys. I really like the way the game "feels". I think how a game handles and feels is often overlooked in favor of graphics, etc. You folks at Max Gaming got it right.

Now I know why I tried to avoid playing GG games in the past: They steal time away from my project (addictive!).

Good work MGT!

PS Is my nose turning brown? I don't haev a mirror so I cant tell ;)

Thanks for the kind words Brian, its great to see people both new and old enjoy the game that we have worked so hard at developing.

As a FYI we have released some of the scripts so that you can MOD the game and will be running a few introductory MODding sessions in the forthcoming weeks if you want to get into this sort of thing with Lore and show off some of your Torque skills.

Oh if you have a few moments, you should post your comments on the public DHL forums here on GarageGames... some great word of mouth praise such as yours can never hurt :)

You know, I was turned off by the idea of another mech game. But the way that everyone is going on about it makes me want to give it a try.

You should Charlie, it won't hurt you at all to download a measly little Lore Invasion demo and get in on the action!

Thanks Brian, I don't know how this post slipped past me, thanks for the good words, last couple days since the Invasion release have been fun, and hey I can't stop playing either :)

I just DL'd the demo. It's very fun. Fast paced. Not too complex to be difficult, but just enough weapon options where it's not dull either.

I love the menu gui's.

Plus, I never read the instructions the first time I play a game. It's fun trying to figure out the keys while trying to stay alive. This one was very intuitive. Didn't take long at all to get the hang of things.

I have to admit that I wasn't too impressed when Lore was first advertised, but I like it. Plus, it just feels good playing a game using the same engine I own. ;)

I'll probably buy this one just as soon as I finish getting all of my dev tools in place, so I'll have play money again (if that's possible).

Good job on the game guys. You got a winner here.
