Game in a Day Website Finally Updated!
by Tom Bampton · in Game Design and Creative Issues · 03/17/2005 (3:13 am) · 8 replies
After much delay, the entries for GID9 and GID10 are finally online. If you took part in GID10 and are not on the entries page, you didnt email me your entry. Please do so and I'll get it online as soon as I can.
Also, GID11 will be on the weekend of 2nd/3rd April 2005. It will be our first anniversary, and we'll be planning something special. I'm not going to tell you what it is yet, you'll have to wait and see :)

Hahahaha. The whole reason for the not having to do 24 hours in one chunk thing is due to the annoying effects of aging you mention ;-)T.

Ye gods, being an indie is hard, isn't it?
Ah, well. Nevermind. Expect a rather - um - weird entry for the GID this time from me. Assuming I find the time :) Something closer to the GIW idea.

Tom - Glad to see the Game in a Day site updated. I was over there after last weekends events and missed seeing who had done what (and told you about it).

It would of been updated right after the event, had I not suffered yet more hardware failure (this year is really not turning out to be a good year for hardware); the onboard network card in this (1 or 2 month old) computer died, and the GID site is on a server I can only reach over the network. Oh well, such is life. It's sorted now, until the next thing breaks at least :)
@Jay B,
Nobody ever said being an indie was easy. If someone did, they were lieing. As for game ... the weirder the better. Looking at some of the past entries, its hard to imagine how much weirder things can get, though ;-)
Sorry I missed you on IRC btw. I fell asleep :/
@Dale,
Haha, sorry, I completely forgot to put the link in.

I'm gonna be ancient that day. Dunno if I'll be able to do a game in a day anymore. You know what they say... you know you are getting old when it takes you all night what you used to do all night.
They were talking about writing games, of course.
