Purchasing T2D Physically...

When I purchased TGE... way back when... I somehow purchased it with a physical cd shipped to me as well, I just recently checked the FAQ's and I don't even know if that's an option for TGE anymore (to get a cd as well as access to the download). I was wondering If T2D had the option to be bought on a physical disc as well.

As Harold said, that distribution method was discontinued long ago!

Jeff T. did mention in passing in another thread that a LONG time ago, a few sets of CD's were impressed and shipped, but it was for a very limited time.As Harold said, that distribution method was discontinued long ago!

So that kinda makes it a collectors item? i should bring it to IGC and get the GG to autograph it

That's a good idea! If you get it signed by the GG crew, I'd offer for it! Maybe you should do that and do a mini auction @ the IGC. ;)

This is kind of funny. You will in theory have gotten TGE for free, if you Auction off the CD. ;)

I'd guess that the only people allowed to bid on it would be Torque license holders (since that would be pretty much most of the people at IGC) So you wouldn't be transfering a license... you would be selling the media to another owner.

What about the non-transferableness

Well, I don't want to load and use it as it might be slightly out of date so you could always paint the read-surface. ;)- Melv.

Nope no idea how you'd fix that. :P

So wait, you want to get the CD signed... and render the the data unreadable. Hmmm, large CD-marker pen and a CD data surface?Nope no idea how you'd fix that. :P

If I wasn't probably going to be broke with flight + hotels + tickets for IGC I'd probably get in on the bidding action lol

I'm curious if it's spiffy or not
sounds like quite the collectible though, I'd be half tempted to bid on it myself
only problem is that indies are generally broke, so the bid amounts would probably suck

Can someone post a digital photo of what the cd looks like?I'm curious if it's spiffy or not

And as for when TGE was first released, As far as I know, none of the TGE CD's ever shipped.
