How do you use 24-bit images as sprites with alphas?
The only examples seem to be of 8-bit palettized png files.
I want to be able to use a 24 bit image file of some format (tga would be nice) and use its 8 bit alpha as soft alpha.
It would also be great if one could use alpha from another, separate file.
Is any of this possible or do I have to use old school 8 bit images in this day and age?
