Totally Stumped! TGE Content Packs and GDAI1

Hello! My name is Danny, Currently Im a disabled Veteran of the US Army Infantry and I'm stationed in Alaska. Quite soon my medical discharge will be complete and Ill be on my way to UAT in AZ for a BA in game design. Until then I have nothing to do but make and play games! W00t! So, after purchasing "3-D Game Design All In One and the Torque SDK, Tim Aste Content Packs and all the tools I need I'm ready to go!
The content packs are great and I was able to get many of the models working in the FPS Demo but not all of them. The "read me" attatched gave me a good starting point to add to some content. But since I purchased the combo pack I got pretty confused with the many different files and where they go in the DIR.
So here are my questions:
1. How do I make a "Bare Bones" exacutable to play around with all the content packs, without using the FPS Demo as a starting point?
2. I purchased the SDK "Indie version" But I dont know where to DL the source code.
Thanks for your response, You'll be hearing a lot from me!

Thanks Ben, I'm able to look at models using the showtool kit. Tim Aste models are pretty awsome. You can see from from my previous post I'm having some issues getting them in game. I've been playing around with the demo version of Torque off and on for a few months but there is a lot to learn. Can anyone help with my original question about the minimum files I would need to make an exacutable to run the editors and play around with placing the models, skybox etc? BTW the quick response blew my mind! I thought I would have to babysit my e-mail all day waiting for a response to my original post. Hehe.

Click on the Torque Game Engine link to the right and go down to the minApp tutorials. They'll give you an excellent starting place on where to trim the fat.EDIT: to add the URL.
