Something VERY helpful. (blender)

I'm probably going to post this into resources as well, but I wanted to see what the community thinks fo it first. I found this webpage VERY helpful with learning to model using blender.

Any thoughts?

Great idea...

Im trying to learn blender right now... after deciding I would like to sharpen my programming skills by making a game. Probably a little too optimistic an idea to sharpen ones programming skills by making a game. So much one has to learn. Ive already had to figure out how to get DEMS into Torque... now im on to models.

So to add to this thread I have found a few helpful places to get started on modeling in blender.

First just watching the blender intro tutorials from Metsys has been a huge help. They can be had at:

www.blender3d.org/cms/Getting_started.400.0.html

Id watch all four to get a good overview.

Next is the actual manual that blender puts out... it has a good 30 minute intro to making a ginger bread man that you texture and animate. That is good. Go here to get the manual:

www.blender.org/modules/documentation/htmlI/

They also have a reference manual as well here:

www.blender.org/modules/documentation/htmlII/

Lastly there is a ton of links to tutorials on their website here:

www.blender3d.org/cms/Tutorials.243.0.html

The tutorials are broken up into sections so you will probably want to go to the modeling section here:

www.blender3d.org/cms/Modeling.245.0.html

Right now Im looking for a blender forum here at Garage Games.. I could of sworn there was one.. but now I cannot find it. If anybody knows where that is if it exists... Id like to bookmark it so please forward the link if you know it.
