Torque exporter object names

If anyone can point me to some answers I would really appreciate it. I am trying to use the Torque exporter script for blender (2.36 on Debian sarge with Python 2.34). To do so it says that I need to make OBJECTS with certain characteristics.

I have absolutely no idea what it is talking about. I'm guessing it is normal blender stuff that I just don't know since I'm a noob. Is the Shape object just supposed to be the object that I'm exporting? How do I make those children (Detailx, etc.) that it's talking about as objects which are not something that will be rendered like a mesh? Looking at the example.blend file with the exporter doesn't help. Again probably because Im a noob.

Any help would be great. If there's a tutorial or section in the blender help file I can read that would be great.
