OK I made the commitment

I originally bought TGE several weeks ago but found that my idea for my game would not work as well due to the limited terrain so I went out on the web and checked out several free engines. I just decided last night rather than spend all my time trying to incorporate all the bits and pieces, I committed to TSE.

Now here is the questions:

Can I still use TGE as a base to script?

Can I go ahead and strat terrain design or would it be better to work on interiors?

Looking forward to releasing a demo late in 2005.

Interiors in TSE work fine at the moment, but even they have some changes coming to them. There is no dynamic lighting in interiors or dynamic shadowing of the player. Terrain is next, but isn't here yet.

I would focus on gameplay and not worry about the graphics stuff too much. A demo in late 2005 is very reasonable for a TSE based game.

Thanks for the info Tom. I will start the scripts now then and hopefully port them to C++ later this summer. I still have most of the models I made late in 1999 when I started the game with3D Gamestudio.
