Maybe a thread about how GG has helped your project would be a good idea for those new to GG and its products, so here it goes....
My project began in 1996, when I was a freshman in high school with no game making experience. We started with nothing - no engine, tools, drawings, texts, etc. Over the next few years we developed a LOT of texts and design drawings, but work on the engine was slooow. It was being programmed in BASIC and ASM because that was/is all I knew, and not much progress was being made. So things continued along for a while until 2001 or so when I bought some book I forget the title of that was basically an overview of the gamemaking process. Well in the back of this book was a listing of contributors/resources and GG was listed there as an indie dev site. Sounded good so I checked it out and eventually bought an indie TGE license, then the commercial upgrade.
While I still havent posted a dev snapshot and still have no working models in-engine, I can say that Ive got more useful work done in the few years Ive been a member of GG than I did in the longer time before I was a member. The links to various tools, TGE, resources, content packs, and the great community have all helped me be much more productive. Ive got a number of 3D models created and some new vehicle classes in the works for this project.
Due partly to GG and its products/community I'm shooting for a demo for IGC in October this year, something I doubt would be possible if I was continuing development of my own engine and toolset. So thanks GG, Bravetree, and the GG community!

If not for GG, I would still be wasting away in my retail job, a frustrated programmer trying to develop an engine like so many others. As it stands, I am on the verge of realizing my dream. So, thanks GG. :)
