Wondering what these buttons do..

by Todd D. Degani · in Artist Corner · 03/01/2005 (12:55 pm) · 4 replies

Specifically the "S" button to the right of the sequences, objects, and nodes dropdown lists. Also the "V" next to the nodes dropdown list.

On a side note, I really like this utility, but wish it had some tooltips to make it a little less unwieldly.

Greetings!

Beginning on page 75 of the Torque ShowTool Pro manual are descriptions of these buttons. The "S" buttons beside each of the popups along the bottom will toggle alphabetical sorting of the lists. With the sorting disabled, the order is the same as stored in the DTS/DSQ file.

The "V" button is used to see what vertices are controlled by a node. Turning this feature on will render all vertices that are controlled by the selected node in a color that is dependant on their weighting.

I agree that it would help to have some tooltips. In fact, they'll make it into the next release.

Thanks Dave. Where is the manual found? I am still running the demo version. Do you only get the manual when you purchase it?

Greetings!

Todd, the manual is free for anyone to download. Please head on over to the TST Pro Product Page and scroll down a little. Look for the text freely available for download.

Hope that helps!

Thanks again Dave. I must have missed it when I downloaded the demo :).
