Now, let's see some wires! :)

Martin's right, he does look a little like Vin Diesel. He's got the beady eyes, the big nose, and the thin mouth. :p I like the stylization and the proportions so far, though I think my only complaint would be that his neck seems too thick (front to back), as his chin seems somewhat subdued. I definitely like where going with the face textures. :)Now, let's see some wires! :)

I think that the neck is way too big as well, but it looks great so far!

Reminds me of the bad guy in aeon flux (trevor?)

Aeon Flux... thats a blast from the past. :) I dont remember what the bad guy looks like though... only that the girl could catch a fly in her eyelashes.

Anyway, Im now working on the ear, mouth, hair (I have yet to add the eyebrows). The neck is going to happen after that.

:) And to satisfy Tecks desire to see the wire...

Here is an update. In typical fashion, I got way too far on one part of the texture... but I regret nothing. I think the face skin is looking damn hot. Its awesome too, cause in the past Ive had the hardest time getting skin to look like skin. In the process of making this model Ive come across some tricks for instantly great looking skin. Give me a couple weeks: Im going to post all of it in a new Games Extract tutorial. Anyway, Im now working on the ear, mouth, hair (I have yet to add the eyebrows). The neck is going to happen after that.

ps. On the textures, looks like you didn't take your own advice about blocking first. ;)

Great looking topology on the head, but I can't help but think that the back of the neck (where the skull meets the spine) could be pushed further forward. I feel like it would look a little more natural. As it stands, though, I really like the model, and you've done a bang-up job on the textures so far. :) Lookin' forward to an update.ps. hahaha and yeah, of course I didnt take my own advice. That would have made sense. The cycle I always get into is me blocking something out and then going "ok, im done with this, but... but i just want to make this ONE extra tweak...".

Oh yeah, I havent touched the neck beyond a couple overlays. The neck shading is on my list of "next things to do".hahaha and yeah, of course I didnt take my own advice. That would have made sense. Sounds exactly like myself. :-p Two hours later, I'm still on that one extra tweak that's turned into a full-on noodling session. ;)

I had to put this guy on the shelf for a couple weeks, but I finally got to come back to him. I present his head mostly finished. I still need to work on certain details (light reflection on hair, ear area in general, eyelashes), but Im going to move on to the rest of his body now and come back to all that jazz later. Heres the goods.

also you need some more detail around the eye its looking pretty bare and it looks a bit weird against the white eyeball.
Ear shadows are too brown, i'd like to see more cool blues/greens being used to show the shadows etc.

Not looking too bad, the skin looks a bit 'dirty' to me, colours are imo too orange and it could do with some more red/bluealso you need some more detail around the eye its looking pretty bare and it looks a bit weird against the white eyeball.
