Not sure if you realise this but, when things settle down, I want to be a T2D games developer as well !!!!

Can't wait to make some of my games. *thinks of Josh and my secret project*

I've only had a quick play so far with T2D, but I'm pretty impressed with what its capable of. I'm sure over the coming months we're going to see some great games made with it. I'd hazard a guess that some people will find some really novel uses for T2D as well :P

Anyhow, back to the tutorials and documentation :)

I just purchased T2D after watching the demo and seeing the screenshots. The particle editor really caught my eye, and the ability for cross platform development is really nice too. I've had a game idea I've been going over for a good year and hopefully this tool will make it happen. Now, onto the tutorials :)

Just downloaded T2D... It looks like a great tool. I want to dig a little deeper into what goes into making a game and maybe sketch out an idea or two myself. If a dumb audio guy like me can figure out how to make something with this, anyone can... now to get started!

Same here. I should say, that the product I have been waiting for has finally come out. I work as Game Programmer for a comp called Sivasoft and most of my time is spent there. I have always wanted to create a 2D game for which I had a gameplay written for the past 3 years. Never got my chance to do so. I think with this tool it would be more than possible.

By the way if anyone is interested in joining the team, please email me rakeshravindr@hotmail.com. I am looking for people who got some spare time and deep interest in these things. A Programmer and an Artist would be more than fine. I can do most programming and decent artwork. Will do as a small hobby project and if it goes big all the better.

@Rakesh: Might be worth trying the "Help Wanted" option on the right of this page. Not sure how well it works but it's work a try. Linking to some of your work really helps.

Good Luck. :)

I actually purchased t2d the day it was released, but haven't had much time to play with it other than going through the tutorial. Personally, I plan on using T2D to create games for my company's (BlazingGames.com) website even if that means people will have to download the games.

I purchased t2d last week and have been playing around with it and having fun. I've been looking back into the world of 2d as way to do something different. I deal with 3D all day long and find the world of 2D stuff very refreshing. I originally went to school for 2d animation and I didn't realize how much I had forgotten until I started trying to remember it this weekend past. Ahh the brain rots as the years go by.

Anybody needing traditional/2D animation training should check out "The Animator's Survival Kit".
It's the mother of all animation books!... or so I've been told by animators in the industry :)

I have it and I really like it. It's really worth getting.

Ive read part of the animators survival kit, used some ideas from that to help improve the art and direction in a 3d animation i worked on. It is some good reading, pretty light (As i recall, from a year.5 ago), so ill second that recomendation.

I recently posted this in another thread but I thought it apt here. I think it will be fun when eventually we get some kind of character/scene animation system for T2D. Being able to have almost "SouthPark" characters running around levels would be so cool. I think one of the biggest things, apart from the sheer technology thing, of originally moving from 2D to 3D was that it literally gave another dimension in freedom for art, design and general expressiveness.

Bringing a sophisticated animation system for scenes and characters would allow us to learn from all those years of 3D and fold it back into the 2D world.

Eric Cartman here we come...

Hey Melv and Josh, I couldn't resist to encourage you and GG and buy T2D, and of course, to try to do a 2D game with it. I'm a little confuse on how to use the tilemap but I will give it some more time as I just bought it.

I've done the tutorial and it was clear and fun to do. I've just got really surprised to see only 3 buttons on my editor when I first started it ! hehe. I though it was to be more artist friendly then this, but it's a well done app and I will try to take the time to have fun with it. The particle system is really cool ! For now, as an artist, I find it more easy to work in 3D with TGE, but I just got T2D, so I'll study it and see how it goes. Hey ! I just have a couples of hours playing with T2D and I did a blaster master scroller game with it (the example tutorial, hehe) so imagine a week, a month ! :)

Congratulation and thanks for T2D !
