Mount point behaviour

by Christian Blomqvist · in Torque Game Engine · 02/24/2005 (12:50 am) · 4 replies

I'm exporting the head and body of my animated character separate. I simply remove the objects head when I export the body and the body when I export the head. So the objects bounding boxes look the same and the mount point at the neck are at the same position. However, when I try mounting the head's mount point on the body's mount point (both located at the neck) using the new Torque Show Tool, the head rotates and is placed too far away from the neck. I've tried freezing the mount points values but it doesn't seem to make any difference. The bounding boxes don't have an strange scale, transform or rotate values.

Exactly how do I need to export mount points to get them to work properly?

What command are you using to mount them?

I'm also have problems with mounts. I have a character with a gun, in the Show Tool Pro, it looks fine. But in the engine, the gun is far below the handit should be in. I can send pics of it if you need reference. I'm not sure what the problem is. :( :(
