This is probably a really dumb question, but how do I tell what version of the TGE SDK I have?

I don't really know how to use CVS though I've been trying. How would I use CVS to find the version number?
I read in another thread that using CVS is being discouraged and downloading directly is being encouraged. Is this true?

I don't think that CVS is no longer used so much as that its use is not reccommended. Jeff stated "We don't want people using CVS anymore. It is fadin away. Use the installer instead." in this thread.

If you used the installer, it should be 1.3.

Yeah, if downloaded the version number is part of the file name.
