Terrain Questions (3)

1) How do I punch a hole in terrain... I built an interior in hammer and got it in torque. It has a hallway that goes in and an elevator that goes to an underground section... but... the terrain blocks up the hallway... I did manage to cut a hole in it once.. but it was like a deleted poly and not the shape I needed cleared.. I basiclly need to make a square hole in the terrain.
2)Can I change the height map or whatever it is so the whole terrain is flat unless I customize it, I want to start out with flat terrain.
3)How do I add my new map after I saved it to the mission select screen.

When you place an interior in the mission there is a property you can set to automatically clear out the terrain that occupies the same space as it does. This way you don't have to manually clear out the terrain yourself.

Is the property you alluded to something you have to set up in the Interior, or in Torque when you place it? I'd run it and check for myself but I don't have my demo with me at the moment. :)

When you are in the mission editor its a property you can change. You don't have to do anything special in the export process.

This is exactly what I need. Unfortunetly when I tried the option in TGE+LPK 1.3.5-"beta" it did not work. Nothing happened. :-(
When I try using the "Set Empty" brush even with a 1x1 brush, it is far too clumsy and imprecise for knocking out the small hole I need.
Any Ideas anyone?

2) yup... I'd suggest doing a search on the forums for this
3) save it to the missions folder
