Tunnel Sections

I'm attempting to model tunnels in Cartography Shop.
I have started out by creating a non-uniform hollowed out octagon shape. I'd like to create other sections that fit together, so that with say 4 or 5 different pieces I could build an arbitrary tunnel.
The problem I'm having is how to connect up the pieces in CS. It seems a bit difficult to match everything up at the vertex level to get one continuous tunnel as it's hard to tell which vertex is which. Does anyone have any tricks they'd like to share on ways to do this in the easiest manner?
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hmm... sounds like you need Quark's duplicators. You just create one tunnel section, then a path, and it makes the tunnel for you. It takes some getting used to, but save a _lot_ of time in the long run.
