I like the new top nav-bar, it looks a lot more pro then the tabs.

It's not that there's an empty space on the right hand side, it's just that the page seems to be a fixed width. The background's nice, but it doesn't tile properly.I like the new top nav-bar, it looks a lot more pro then the tabs.

I wouldn't mind it to fit the browser in 800 x 600. I like the color scheme better, it looks more like something a game would like. Maybe change the link colours and design the header cells cooler if you really want it to flow. The background is fine for me. I really like the opening buttons, though, and the Torque logo.

As for the background, maybe have a little GG members contest of sorts where comminity members can submit backgrounds based on the current version of the bg. Shacknews did the same type of thing for their logo and that turned out well. They offered a generic .psd file as a template which people could download. Then they had a submission period of about 1 week or so. Once the entries were submitted they had the community vote to narrow the selection down to a couple of entries and then the employees of the site picked from the remainder.
Just a thought.

edit: Just thought I'd add in that I'm in no way affiliated with Shacknews. I only posted the link to show the logo and although I did submit a logo the one on the site is not mine.

I find the pages load a lot faster which is really nice. I agree that is does have a much more polished look. The colors blend better and the background isn't as strong (the last one was only white after all) which makes reading easier. As for the background, maybe have a little GG members contest of sorts where comminity members can submit backgrounds based on the current version of the bg. Only other minor niggle is the "Forums" in the "Make Games" menu appears to list "Torque Game Engine" twice as it wraps the SDK (private) but. Maybe appreviate it?
I've always thought of this site as a true example of how a true quality web site should be done, since everything useful is immediatly at your fingertips. It's nice to see you've raised the bar again!

New site look is very nice, I agree with everyone about the tiling graphic but if that's the worst people can manage you've got a winner ;)Only other minor niggle is the "Forums" in the "Make Games" menu appears to list "Torque Game Engine" twice as it wraps the SDK (private) but. I like the site, but miss the way the older one would stretch horizontally to fill the screen. This way it crowds the center section unnecessarily (IMHO).

I also miss that. It shouldn't have been removed.
