A set of training DVDs would be great!

It will most probably be one of the things I work on in my mini-internship.

Torque Boot Camp is going to happen--it's a matter of getting the course put together and figuring out what to present, and who to present it!It will most probably be one of the things I work on in my mini-internship.

You can count me in now.
Also, if you need any suggestions as to what to include, feel free to email me.

but if GG had a course....a "real" online course w/ a syllabus, assignments, grades...NOT just tutorials..........i'd be one of the first people signing up!
you could have a place where students can post their work, and show off their assignments.
You could even give away a book or software to the person or persons w/ the best grades.
There could be beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. It would be an excellent way to promote Torque, sell software, books, reference material, etc.
I think the whole Torque community would benefit from something like this.....you always have students who use a software package and do interesting things w/ that software that you wouldn't even expect.
lemmee know if this ever gets off the ground.....cuz you can count me in!

Something like Torque Bootcamp maybe? There are also a ton of cool sessions on Torque at IGC.

There are plenty of indie developers who simply can't afford to fly out to Oregon....but may be able to afford an online course. GG could even include Torque as part of the price.
Having an online course where there are assignments and people post their work is similar to having a real class. Putting a price tag on it can help to separate those who don't take the course seriously.
3dbuzz.com is having an online class in Maya fundamentals and I believe they're getting an overwhelming response for that course.....and they're charging around $200.00 USD Although......they are producing video training modules (VTM), which is a lot of work. You can check out this post here.
GG wouldn't have to use videos, but I think they'd be surprised as to response they might receive.

The Torque Bootcamp seems really cool...but unfortunately many people from the indie community will not be able to make it for whatever reason. There are plenty of indie developers who simply can't afford to fly out to Oregon....but may be able to afford an online course. Someting affordable like 40-50 bucks a head for a web based course would be fair I think and it'd help me figure out what I need to focus on learning about the engine.

I'd take a net based course for sure, unless it's several hundred dollars a pop tho.Someting affordable like 40-50 bucks a head for a web based course would be fair I think and it'd help me figure out what I need to focus on learning about the engine.

Hey GG guys. Any chance that if you have any more of those groups of "commercial developers" you could cut some of us in as well? I'm in Florida and certainly would have attended...
