Need additional info about Torque engin

Hi,

Im currently searching for an game engin and I would need additionnal information about the Torque engin.

1) Is there a scene exporter for 3D studio Max, which exports all meshes, lights and cameras contained in a 3DS MAX scene. Or must I import individualy my meshes and then create my scene in the World Editor.

2) Can the engin render different scenes in separte windows.

3) Does it support hardware buffer management.

4) Whats the support for Cg vertex and fragment programs.

1) I do not use Max, but I believe you have to export and recreate your scenes in the World Editor. This way you set lighting for the scene itself within the engine.

2) Yup. Look up Melv May's name and then look at his resources. He's got some very cool stuff.

3) I don't know. Someone else will answer this. I haven't looked deeply into the platform layer to see, and since different OS's deal with hardware abstraction differently, I'd assume that's where it's at.

4) Someone else should answer this since it has little relevance to anything I've worked on. I'm sure there's a lot of benefit that I'd get from it, but I haven't seen it yet.
