Environment Maps

I know that Torque 1.3 supports at least one environment map (one of the sky textures) but can individual objects have their own environment map? If so, how to you specify it?

Yes, you connect the enviromental map in a 3d app like 3d S. Max, in the appropriate map channel

Can milkshape be used for environmental mapping. I know it can do sphere mapping, but when I specify the level of environmental mapping in the export dialogue, there is no option to specify the texture file for the environment.

Or is it the case that only high end 3d apps can do environmental mapping?

Check the DTS MATRIX

I've checked the DTS matrix and it says that Milkshape fully supports environmental mapping. The problem is that the only texture it seems to map is the one specified when defining a sky.

Guess I'll just have to experiment some more.
