Progressive slowdown problem

Im using a release build of the SDK engine (unmodified) to start learning my way around Torque.
I am running a mostly standard stronghold mission with a couple of test buildings and an AI guard.
The performance is great when the game first loads but starts to get slower and slower and slower until it becomes unplayable.
Im guessing that there is a memory leak (or something similar) but have very little idea of where to start looking for it.
Any clues regarding where to start looking would be greatly appreciated.
When starting the mission, typical FPS ranges from 50 to 100 (up to 250+ inside a building)
Running in windowed mode, 800x600 on Win 2000 PC (P4 - 3.06), with a hosted game and 2 other players (via internet over DSL)
FPS progressively drops to around 5 FPS after about 30 minutes (and after killing everything that moves!).
