Welcome new GG Associates!

Howdy everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment and introduce everybody to the newest batch of GarageGames Associates. We've added a few Associates over recent months, and the latest bunch to join the group are Stephen Zepp and Tom Spilman. Thomas Lund, Chris Calef, and Dan MacDonald! Welcome aboard guys!

GG Associates are great examples of indie developers.. they are dedicated to indie gaming, and to helping others achieve the dream. All the GG Associates have contributed in major ways to this community, and we're proud to be partnered with each of them.

This new batch of Associates is quite impressive.

Stephen Zepp has been great helping out on the forums lately, and he's done a boat load of work on the RTS Starter Kit, working with his team and the rest of the community to produce some really nice resources.

Tom Spilman has also been a great help on the forums, and he's submitted some excellent TSE and Map2Dif fixes. He's working on a DIF exporter for Cartography Shop, and I'm sure many other interesting projects in the future, including improvements for aspects of the TSE art pipeline.

Thomas Lund is working on some very interesting technologies, and a couple neat looking games, which you could get him to show you surreptitiously at IGC if you pestered him enough. Full-time indie dude now, so congrats to him!

Dan MacDonald runs PlanetThinkTanks, amongst other things and you probably all know him from IGC. Dan made Little Soldiers, and has been involved with lots of other game projects. He'll be working with us on some very exciting new things this year, and he is, in general, a passionate supporter of indie games and developers.

You probably all know Chris Calef by now too. He's a talented guy, always working on some cool Torque projects, some of which you've heard about in his recent .plans. Chris is also working on the new Torque Build Environment. He's been working with us here in the office off-and-on for about a year, and he's doing some crazy stuff with Torque.

All these folks are very talented and dedicated, and we're glad to welcome them aboard. Stephen, Tom, Thomas, Dan, and Chris, kudos on all your hard work! We'll look forward to seeing more cool stuff from you in the future.

Feel free to say hello everyone... or just spam a little. :)

Welcome to the madhouse guys!

Too busy to post much but our paths will cross I'm sure over the coming year.

I wonder what the game would be like if all the associates got together on a single project. ;)

All the best everyone,

- Melv.

Congrats guys!

Haven't had the pleasure of working with the others yet but my brief times with Stephen and Thomas have been delightful so far...

Hope to finally meet and see all at IGC this year...

@David: Thanks, and it's more like UnderPawns than OverLords! Just kidding...it was an honor when I was invited, and I'm really looking forward to working with the community with a slightly different perspective!

Congrats guys. I'm sure Stephen is right on when he says "working with the community with a slightly different perspective"

Almost all his posts make me look at things from a different prespective. It's good to have you guys around!
