After speaking with Paul and other members of the GiD community, we've decided to host somewhat of an event geared towards quick conceptualizing of a design from a third party. I thought I'd put in a post for anyone who was not aware of this prior to me posting this thread:

No, GID9 is going ahead as normal. This is something that Eric and Paul are doing on their own (unless anyone else is interested in helping them).
I've been plagued by computer problems (still not fully up and running again) so I'm a bit out of touch at the moment, but this is how I understand it.
