Hi, I am getting Torque I belive next friday and I am looking for help. I was wondering if someone could supply me with a model and help me find out how to import it into the demo, I am trying to learn how to use torque before I get it so not to be totally ignorant about it. I searched for a texture and saved it as a jpeg then put it in the data file but it doesnt show up in the demo when I try to change the texture of the ground. I think I changed some code but dont think it did anything, and I was just looking for help how to do that and how to import models and use them. I was also wondering if someone could give me a link or something to show me how to do AI.

Also I was wondering if there was a way to zoom out so not to be stuck looking out of the game model with the crossbow.

Oh also I got the programming all in one book, but I havent got that far into it but I guess I should start reading it again so I can learn more.

Oh also this might be a stupid question but how do I make concept arts.

Concept art is just your drawn ideas prior to actually modelling any of them...

Concept art is made by drawing stuff. Use your imagination, have fun, just draw. Youll get a lot of dumb stuff, but youll get those good concepts worth keeping. Ive seen a lot of good art here on GG, esp in the earlier days of the snapshot gallery (the picture in the upper right of the site).

You might be able to find some models or art here:

I draw a lot but I have seen professional ones and it looks like it has been made with a computer, I was just wondering if there was a program they made it will, cause I dont see how they can make those the colors look that good.

Here's a free model player I made...

Go ahead and use it if you like.

Also try Joe's Blue Guy model.

Concept art can be made with Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter, etc.

It's nice to have a tablet and pen to draw with, otherwise you can try using a scanner to scan your paper drawings in.

Here's some concept art I made and the basic steps:
