MacroScript help

by Kayley · in General Discussion · 12/22/2004 (5:46 am) · 5 replies

I have 3DS MAX3 and I can't install adjustLODs.mcr!!

I have tried to drag and drop the maxscript and also "run" the script... but nothing!

Can anyone provide me with instructions?

Many thanks!

Place the script in Max/scripts/pluginScripts , run the script.
Open customize user interface , choose toolbars, look for category Torque_Tools,drag the Adjust LODs to a Toolbar or a meny if you want that.

Well I am not sure about MAX3 at all but in MAX 4 -7 you add the a macrofile to your 3dsMAX/Scripts/Startup folder.
Then you go to Customize menu> Cutomize user interface>menus tab. While In the main menu rollout Click NEW. Type the name in for your menu. Go to the "MENUS" panel and Select it and drag it over to your main menu panel. Open IT. then go to your "Actions" panel and drag "Adjust LOD" to it.
Then your save your settings. You'll have a new section on top whenits opened yuo'll find Adjust LOD tool.

Hope that helps. IF not search Macroscripts in your help file. IF you have the files they will tell you how to install a macroscript and if MAX3 supports then at all.

Or one could have taken the time to do a simple search into the resources contained here on GG in which they might have found this FAQ entry.

There is a ton of information here people, use it or lose it.
