Avatar Studio, VRML 2.0 and Blender

Anyone here ever uses this software @ www.web3d-fr.com/Avatars/avatars.php
All GUI and document are NOT in English, so is the License Agreement. The usage is quite easy to understand but I'm still not sure if I could use it for my game.
And it seems only VRML 2.0 format could be saved by AS, but I find it no way to import such file into Blender since Blender support only VRML 1.0 import but we have the export scrpits for both VRML 1.0 & 2.0. I suppose that VRML is an open format, right? Then are there any avaliable plugins or converters to handle this problem?
By the way, I have a copy of 3dto3d.exe, but it also could not use VRML 2.0(.wrl) as input file.
Thanks!

Blender is a very good program. I personally find it much easier to work with than most other "complex" 3d programs., although some find it's interface takes some getting used to. With some added scripts, like Make Human, you can create detailed human shapes, although a bit too detailed for a model usable in Torque without a lot of LOD I expect...

I used a version of Avatar Studio a long time ago, when I played around in a VRML chat room, but I found then it wasn't very compatable with anything except Avatar Studio, and that VRML chat. Sorry I can't be of much help here except to say I've previously found very limited use of an older version of Avatar Studio.Blender is a very good program. Avatar Studio puts out a file using non-standard vrml nodes; such as protos etc.
It uses javascript to morph meshes for animations.
And its output only works in some vrml browsers.
AS was kinda cool, but like so many vrml tool makers, they diviated from the spec and
may as well of used a proprietary file format.
iow. a dead end re TGE.

Nothing's really free and no tool is 360 degree fit the needs, I finally got this point.
By the way, I like Blender and am on the way to mastery it. And I will use it even after I have a copy of maya.
