Alpha Channels in Paint Shop 9

Just wondering if I can create alpha channels in Paint shop 9 pro?

It's best to use masks t pull the relevant portions of your source image up for editing (i.e. luminance, opactiy, etc.)
You can then save the mask to an alpha channel - be warned, when you're done with the mask, DELETE it. Do not merge it or save it with the file, unless of course that's part of the plan, but it usually borks things for me. =\
