Void War Problems

I just downloaded the demo for 'Void War.' It runs but it can't go beyond the main menu. I can change settings and all but the game just doesn't load. Instead the menu closes.
Is Void War powered by the TGE?
I am running XP Home btw.

#1 - bring up your properties for your monitor (right click on a blank part of your desktop). Go to Settings and clicked the "Advanced" button. Somewhere in there you should have a "troubleshoot" tab or something like it that has a hardware acceleration slider. Make sure that's turned all the way up to "Full."
#2 - As usual, make sure your drivers are all up to date, etc.
#3 - Are you running a multiscreen setup? Sometimes they don't like Void War.
#4 - I assume when you say you've played with the settings you've changed the resolution and the windowed / fullscreen mode with no differences. If you haven't, switch between the two.
If the above doesn't help you, email me at feedback@rampantgames and we'll go into more detail.

Ok - a couple of possibilities here from when I've seen this. This means for some reason DirectX isn't initializing. Since you have Windows XP, you have a recent-enough version of DirectX, so that shouldn't be an issue (you'd have gotten a message box if it was.)#1 - bring up your properties for your monitor (right click on a blank part of your desktop). Yes I did play with the screen settings. Tried different resolutions and all that good stuff. I am going to look at the hardware acceleration but I am pretty sure it is already cranked up there.

Well, my hardware acceleration is already up at full and I am also running a single screen system. It happens to be an Inspiron 1000 Craptop.

Out of curiosity, what kind of 3D acclerator does it have?
Please email me - I'll see if I can get you a build that can report more information and give us a clue what's going on. Sorry about that!
