Greetings!

Well, I dont know if this post is offtopic, but I couldn't find the better place, so please forgive me.

I would like to offer some of my game development books for selling. I'm moving from my appartment soon, and some of books are a bit heavy to have them with me... In fact, I will be moving a lot by planes, so that's the point I want to sell my books. They are all in excellent conditions, with CDs. I always take care of my books, so they are like new.

Please, find the prices below, it's only one book per title. The current price is before the brackets. Also, please, take in account the post fee and packaging.
Normaly, it's about $12.5/2Kg, or $7/1Kg, or $5/0.5Kg for sending it worldwide by mail (post fee plus packaging), may vary for your country. I will package the books into safe boxes, so no worries about broken CDs ;).

Originally, I ordered books in pounds, but I decided to use US dollars, because it's more comfortable for people, I think.
Almost all books are quite light, so it should not be more then $5-$7, unless it's more then one book.

Amazon.com has some sort of "marketplace" thing where you can sell your books. You might want to try it. I don't know how good it is.

I know that, Steve, but it doesn't work well for a person who just want to sell his books, there are many of warehouse sellers, but have my list there too. Also, Amazon doesnt allow to put the price below some value...

Maybe it would be a good idea to set up a section/forum here for 2nd hand gamedev book sales. These books frankly cost a fair bit, and I'm sure many of us have accumulated libraries of these things collecting dust somewhere.

I know I have, though I'm not so sure some of them like "The Game Developer's Guide: DirectX 3" or "Windows 95 Programming for Dummies" are going to be very popular. ;)

That would be a great idea. Usually, in one year I have 3-4 books that I've read and dont need anymore, but they still have value.

I just wanted to bump this thread and let everyone know that the two books I purchased From Alexander arrived two days ahead of the estimated due date and that the books had been well packed for shipping and when opened for examination I was not disappointed. The books were in VERY good condition and had obviously been taken care of just as he claimed. And as promised the original CD-ROMS were with them also. Alex also stayed in contact through the whole process via letting me know by email when he had completed each stage of handling and shipping the books and overall I just wanted to say that nothing went wrong and he definately took care of buisness like a responsible adult should.


I would buy from him again if he had other books I wanted so if you want something he has left, I suggest you be the first to get it and relax any fears of getting ripped off. He is a nice guy and I'm glad I dealt with him.
