.map files into Torque

I have exported a .map file from Truespace 6.6 with the Torque GE export option. Now how do I get this .map file into a newly created mission from the fps starter kit. I have tried putting it in the folders and loading it from the in-game editor, but it couldnt see the file.

Thanks.

You have to run your .map file through the map2dif command line tool. This will create (as the name says) a .dif file. Place this file in your folder (somewhere under interiors) and go into the in-game editor. Now you can place it.

Torque GE? Which exporter is that?

Torque GE is part of GameSpace, or the GamePak for Truespace. However it exports to .dts not .map. There are a few third party map exports.

Marco: Did you use one of those?

I am new to Torque, but have had TrueSpace for a few years. I would like to use it for the graphics, but I have not found a .map exporter? A few reviews in the other forums at GG, didn't seem to keen on the exports on the Caligari site.
