First monster, the Familiar

Hey. Me and some people are workin on a game, we recently finished up the model of the first monster known as the Familiar. I thought i'd take some time to show of my modelers work and such! :D So heres a few pictures of the Familiar. No skinned images yet tho.. We had a skin but i'd like to redo it an all..\

Anyhow, here is the high poly model wireframe. This model was used to generate our normal map.

Here is a low poly model loaded into ORB, the program used for our normal maps, and the same model with a normal map:

and then i was just messin around and so i made a few special model renders. These 2 posted and 2 others will be used in making a wallpaper featuring the Familair. And also in the game he will have the fire aura as seen in these shots, as well as a neato refraction shader effect for heat waves ;)

I wish i could have a shot from TSE, but unfortunatly we're havin issues with normal maps in TSE.. The lighting gets chopped all to hell.. Hopefully its fixed up soon! :D

Looks pretty cool! Good use of normal maps.

...reminds me of a minator.
